I have
dreamed for 30 yrs of building a Rozinante.
I am
now doing it; Doug Hylan supplied me with a beautifully crafted kitset
of the backbone, moulds and rigging hardware.
I am
now at the stage of steaming in the frames see pics.
I am
naming her Wainamu Maori for Water Sandfly which was the name of a similar
sized little tug boat that my Grandfather in the 1880’s used to tow rafts
of Kauri logs down the Henderson creek that ran past the family farm to
the mill in the Waitemata harbour Auckland New Zealand.
I am
based in the Hawke’s Bay.
